Simply active this plugin to remove the website / url box from the WordPress comment form area.
This plugin has been tested on:
- Genesis 2.X
- Thesis 2.X
- WordPress Twenty Fourteen theme
While it may work on other themes, there is no guarantee. If it doesn’t work on your theme let me know in the support forums.

- Upload the folder
remove-comment-url-boxto the/wp-content/plugins/directory - Activate the plugin through the ‘Plugins’ menu in WordPress
- The website URL box should now be gone, if not see the FAQ for this plugin.

Tested with Beaver Builder Theme 1.6 and the new Beaver Themer product (currently in alpha development)–works fine. Couldn’t be easier to use. Install, activate, the URL(website) field is gone from the comments area.

As far as I can tell this plugin works great. It’s pretty lightweight and does just what it says. This should prevent 95% of my spam…I hope it will be updated if necessary!
