TranslateWP

تفصیل

TranslateWP translates your site with AI that understands context, tone and idiom rather than swapping words one at a time. A page is translated on demand the moment a visitor asks for it, and TranslateWP can also prepare pages ahead so the first visitor does not wait. No word-count invoices.

Translations follow your content. Edit your source page and the translated version is brought up to date. No stale copies, nothing to re-run by hand.

Built by the team behind Code Snippets, trusted on over a million WordPress sites.

Your site translates itself, exactly when it needs to

You do not have to convert your whole site into every language before a single visitor has read a word. A page is translated the first time it is requested in a language, and TranslateWP can prepare pages ahead of time as well. Each translation is stored, so every visitor after that is served it instantly, with no further AI generation.

Fair use

Every plan includes AI translation with a fair-use allowance per 30 days. When your account reaches its allowance, translated pages keep working for visitors and new translation pauses until the window moves on. On Orbital, add your own AI key to keep going.

Teach the AI your vocabulary with Lexicon

Every brand has words that should never be guessed: product names, industry terms, phrases you always say one way. Lexicon lets you pin exactly how each term is translated, in each of your languages, so the AI stays on brand everywhere. Your rules overrule the AI.

Stay in control

  • A dashboard with every language and its translation coverage at a glance.
  • Tune how the AI writes with simple controls for tone, formality and creativity.
  • Flexible language switchers, all in Free: a floating switcher, a menu item, a classic widget, the [twp-languages] shortcode, the Language Switcher block and a Button block that becomes the switcher.
  • Always current: update your source page and the translations follow.
  • Install and go: no DNS changes, no migration, no per-post workflow. Activate and pick your languages.

Privacy friendly

Page content is translated and cached by the TranslateWP service. Visitor personal data never leaves your site: no customer details, no form submissions and no order data are sent to us.

This plugin connects to the TranslateWP translation service to generate and serve translations. Site content used for translation is sent to that service when you translate or scan pages. See the Privacy section below.

Privacy

When you use translation or scanning features, the plugin may send page content samples, your site host, and home URL to api.translatewp.ai so the service can translate content and attribute usage to your site. No data is sent until you use those features or complete setup that registers the site with the service.

ہرہک دے سوال

Do you charge per word or per translation?

No. There is no word-count billing at all.

How is this different from pre-translation plugins?

They translate every page into every language up front and leave you to manage all the copies. TranslateWP translates a page on demand when a visitor requests it and can also prepare pages ahead, so there is nothing you have to build or keep in sync by hand, and translations follow your edits to the original.

What happens when I edit a page after it is translated?

The translation updates with it. TranslateWP notices that the source changed and translates the page again, so your other languages stay in step with your source content automatically.

Will it slow my site down?

The first request in a new language is translated and cached. Every visitor after that is served the stored version, so ongoing performance is normal.

Does it work with my theme and page builder?

TranslateWP translates the rendered text of your pages, so standard Gutenberg and classic theme content is detected and translated. Builders output rendered text too, so standard builder content should be picked up; formal testing across builders is still in progress.

Does this plugin require an external service?

Yes. AI-assisted translation is provided by the TranslateWP API. The free plugin uses that service to translate content.

Page cache exclusions

The lang query parameter selects the rendered language. Page caches must not strip or normalize it, and must not serve a cached default-language page for a ?lang= URL. The plugin sends no-cache headers for non-default ?lang= requests.

  • Answer engines may index translations from the start: the preset is on for a site that never chose, and robots.txt opens every translated language to them. A site that turned it off keeps its choice.
  • A translation the service has not served within a minute is left for a later visit: the page stops asking every two seconds and no element stays marked as loading.
  • The Pro editor anchors the switcher to any element, above, below, left or right of it; the switcher then follows that element, in a footer or a sticky header alike. A new switcher setting chooses what a page without the anchored element shows, and the Dashboard names such pages.

0.10.27

  • The browser’s Back and Forward buttons move between the language addresses a visitor switched through, and the page follows the address it lands on.
  • A page served with a translated title tells the runtime its source title, so a language switch translates the title from the source and the tab title follows the switch.
  • Text a widget copies from an already translated element is served from the cache under the original’s own key, and nodes that appear while a translation is in flight are served together in one round trip.
  • The 404 page’s translated title is served on every missing address, not only on the page the index read.
  • A crawler’s translated page keeps image alt text as written on a site without Pro, as the visitor’s page does.
  • The languages step of setup states how many page translations the chosen languages commit to and how much of the quota is available, before anything is translated.
  • A correction saved in the Pro editor is stored under the cache’s own marker ids, so it is served on every later visit.
  • A browser whose local translation store cannot be opened translates the page without it instead of waiting forever.
  • A switcher placed anywhere on the page with the Pro editor is found again on a visitor’s page, which has no admin bar.
  • Retranslating with the current Lexicon terms states the page translations it counts and the quota available, like the other retranslation prompts.

0.10.26

  • The switcher stays where it is dropped; the drag handle shows a move icon.

0.10.25

  • The last setup step shows a progress bar with the time taken and what a translator would need for the same work; every language has its own flag button that fills as its pages translate.
  • The site language sits on the connection line of the setup, proposed by the read of your site and editable on every step; a new read replaces the brief instead of adding to it.
  • The 404 page is read and translated like every other page, for visitors and crawlers alike.
  • The message shown while a page is still translating can be edited in the switcher settings.
  • Comments, menus and widgets can be left untranslated, per site or across a network.
  • Pro: translations can be shown only to chosen roles, per site or across a network; audience, length and cultural adaptation join the style settings; the setup offers the Pro presets.
  • Latin American Spanish joins the language list, and every regional variety is translated in its own spelling and vocabulary.
  • Translating again asks with the quota it uses and a plain go-ahead; the Support report leads with the plugin events.
  • The plugin keeps its scripts out of the delay and defer settings of WP Rocket, LiteSpeed Cache and Perfmatters, so the switcher shows before the first click, and another plugin’s styles no longer blank its own.
  • Text a theme copies from a translation is no longer sent as new source text.

0.10.24

  • The setup wizard’s connect step shows the three steps as a numbered path, in the same style as the account portal.

0.10.23

  • The setup wizard’s connect step explains the three steps ahead; the last step finishes from its own card and links to the translated homepage in up to three languages.
  • The translation step reports how many pages were translated into how many languages, and in how long.
  • A Support tab replaces Activity: the feedback form, a support report to copy or paste, and support tickets by email on Pro.
  • The Dashboard’s Today cards explain cached segments and the cache ratio; the Lexicon card offers the first term when empty.
  • Settings pages share one layout of cards: the switcher preview pins while the settings scroll, flag styles show samples, and the colours follow the account portal.
  • Legal, Medical, Playful and Luxury presets are Pro; the native select switcher carries emoji flags and its own chevron.
  • The network settings page uses the site admin layout, shows the network at a glance, lists sites with their setup state, and lets Pro apply the main site switcher position to every subsite.
  • My Sites in the admin bar opens each site’s TranslateWP dashboard and the network settings.
  • Titles and site names with special characters read correctly everywhere.
  • The plugin package no longer ships vendor housekeeping files.

0.10.22

  • Translated pages live at language folder addresses such as /de/; the old lang parameter redirects there, and hreflang and canonical tags use the folder address.
  • All six switcher placements are free: the floating widget, the nav-menu item, the block, the button toggle, the shortcode and the classic widget.
  • Setup has five steps: Connect, Read your site, Style and tone, Languages and Translation. Reading stops at 25 pages, and the homepage is translated first and shown beside the status in a language you choose.
  • A site admin can let users who edit pages manage translations, the Lexicon and the switcher.
  • WooCommerce order emails are sent in the language the customer shopped in.
  • Every plan can export the site’s translations from Settings.
  • Password-protected and private pages are not translated by default, and any page can be excluded in its editor.
  • A crawler on a translated address gets the complete translation, or the original page with a canonical tag and a retry hint.
  • The Dashboard shows the account’s translation quota as a percentage.
  • Image alt text translation moves to Pro; a site that used it on the free plan is told once. The Pro SEO options show as locked rows.
  • Deleting the plugin from a connected site disconnects it on the service. Deactivating or deleting the plugin removes every scheduled task, and with “Delete data on uninstall” on, every option and transient; on a network, only the network setting decides.
  • A cold page reports its title with the rest, and nothing looks the cache up again after the stream.
  • The readme carries the fair-use wording.
  • Migrations run on init, so an update no longer fails on sites whose menus are read during the update.

Earlier releases are listed in changelog.txt in the plugin folder.
